LCD TV Screens

It’s time to say goodbye to the cathode ray tube. Today’s HD ready TV’s have abandoned the tube in favour of the film. Liquid Crystal TV screens (like liquid crystal computer screens) use Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology to make TV’s that are sleeker, smarter and ready for the altogether more demanding world of High Definition broadcasting.

Together with Plasma Screen TV’s, LCD TV’s have set the standard by which all today’s models are measured. As the technology behind the TFT screen has improved, so too consumers have seen rapid improvements in LCD TV quality. Whereas they were once confined to the smaller sized end of the market, LCD TV screens are now available in just as wide a variety of screen sizes as any other type of telly. (Probably more, given that Plasma Screen TV’s occupy the medium – large market sector exclusively.)

65 inch LCD screens are looming; designed to meet the increasingly demanding needs of TV viewers and their HD viewing habits. After all, now that the HD technology exists, there’s no point in confining it to a little 20inch screen. (Unless space is an issue – in which case, you’ll be reassured to hear you can buy LCD screens in smaller sizes to suit too!)

Even if space is an issue, price probably won’t be. HD ready LCD screens are available at prices that belie the tech that’s gone into making them - and says nothing of the user friendly features that’s gone into making them so desirable. Built in speakers and dynamic picture management features, together with crystal clear HD resolution all ensure that LCD TV screens aren’t just HD ready, they’re ready and waiting to rebuild your television landscape…
