HD Home Cinema

Anyone who’s every really enjoyed film or TV will have at some stage thought about installing their very own home cinema system. Far from the fevered imaginings of techno-geeks and their array of coaxial cables, the home cinema system is a viable (and very popular) way of creating the ultimate home entertainment environment.

Now there are degrees of seriousness with which High Definition enthusiasts pursue this dream; for ‘smaller’ ambitions, HD Home Cinema can mean a big Plasma Screen TV and surround-sound. (HD TV’s and HD DVD’s all support Dolby surround-sound as standard, so you’ll be well on your way to the complete cinema experience.) But for the genuine in-cinema vibe, you need two things: a HD TV projector and a big, blank space or screen. Popcorn is optional, but adds authenticity.

Projectors may be tripod mounted, (but they’ll do the job just as effectively from any solid, elevated surface). Depending on the individual specifications you can achieve an 80” viewing image; and in spite of the big screen effect, the projector only needs to be stationed one or two meters away from the wall or screen. HD Home Cinema systems are even equipped with high contrast sensor settings and brightness filters, so you’ll revel in the light, bright colours and crisp, clear visuals at any hour of the day. (Even with the curtains open.)

The real beauty of your very own home cinema system isn’t that you control the viewing times (though that helps); it isn’t even that you’re in charge of admittance (though that’s great); it’s simply that you can access the whole world of High Definition television and play it in glorious Technicolor as large as you like. It’s not just for movies; it’s for music, sport; heck it’ll even play the HD family movies!

Above all, it’s High Definition, so you’re assured of crystal clear sound and vision. You’re assured of a feature presentation and a family feature that everyone’s going to enjoy!
